2月18日，在巴塞羅納的2009年移動(dòng)通信世界大會(huì)期間，羅德與施瓦茨公司（R&S)總裁兼首席運(yùn)營(yíng)官萊赫先生參加了由中國(guó)移動(dòng)，沃達(dá)豐，Verizon無(wú)線主辦的“全球LTE產(chǎn)業(yè)峰會(huì)”。作為測(cè)試儀表廠家的唯一代表，萊赫先生做了“LTE FDD和TDD(TD-LTE)終端認(rèn)證及測(cè)試解決方案“的公開演講。他首先回顧了終端認(rèn)證測(cè)試在保證GSM/WCDMA成功運(yùn)營(yíng)過(guò)程中的經(jīng)驗(yàn)，強(qiáng)調(diào)了終端認(rèn)證測(cè)試應(yīng)成為L(zhǎng)TE未來(lái)成功發(fā)展的重要基礎(chǔ)，介紹了R&S公司在LTE國(guó)際標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化中所做出的貢獻(xiàn)，尤其是在3GPP, GCF, LSTI, NGMN等組織發(fā)揮的積極作用。同時(shí)討論了LTE成功商用過(guò)程中還需要進(jìn)一步完善的工作。詳細(xì)介紹了R&S公司領(lǐng)導(dǎo)LTE的測(cè)試解決方案，以及公司將在LTE未來(lái)發(fā)展中的產(chǎn)品規(guī)劃。這一發(fā)言充分顯示了R&S公司對(duì)LTE發(fā)展的突出貢獻(xiàn)，以及對(duì)LTE未來(lái)發(fā)展的信心。

R&S COO emphasize the importance of LTE Terminal Certification Test at 2009 LTE TDD/FDD Summit
Feb.18, 2009, Barcelona, Mr.Christian Leicher, the President and COO of Rohde & Schwarz GmbH(R&S), attended the "LTE TDD/FDD Summit, Harmonized Standard , Golbal Deployment" , hosted by China Mobile, Vodafone, And Verizon Wireless and supported by GSMA and TD-Alliance, during GSMA Mobile Congress 2009. Mr.Leicher, as the only representitive of Test & Measurement Vendors to publicly speak, had presentation , titled in "LTE FDD and TDD (TD-LTE) Terminal Certification and Test Solution". He reviewed the successful experience of Terminal Certification in successful operation in GSM and WCDMA standard. He emphasised on that the Terminal Certification Test will be the one of most important base for LTE development in the future. He also introduced the outhstanding contribution by R&S in LTE standarization process, especially that R&S's active participation/membership in 3GPP, GCF, LSTI, and NGMN. Mr.Leicher discussed about the further efforts need to be done in LTE development, introduced R&S leading test solution for LTE, and R&S product roadmap for future LTE development. Mr.Leicher's speech show the leading test solution commitment by R&S in LTE development, and express the confidence of LTE development.
Audience was from all parts of the industry (app. 200 participants). The event included speeches from MII, GSMA, TD-SCDMA industry alliance, ChinaMobile, Vodafone, and Verizon, and from Ericsson, Rohde & Schwarz, Qualcomm, Huawei, as well as a panel discussion with additional key players of the LTE industry. All the speeches were focusing on the importance to align FDD and TDD portions of the standard, and the efforts that were already successfully done to achieve this goal. The three operators ChinaMobile, Verizon and Vodafone expressed their commitment to LTE and outlined their joint trial activities and the alignment of their LTE plans. Also the importance of an FDD/TDD single chip solution for devices was stressed. The strong LTE ecosystem with many players was highlighted as a key success factor, and the contribution of the test industry as well as the benefits of a global terminal certification scheme was acknowledged.
